Hawkers fall prey to brazen break-ins.
1a) Why is it easy for burglers to break into stalls at the two markets in the Kallang area?
1b) What is the Geylang East Central Merchants' Association going to do about the break-ins?
2) What do you think should be done to tighten the security of the markets? What do you think of the burglars who brazenly break into the stalls?
Answers:
Q(1a)Both stalls are open at the top which makes it easy for thieves to get in by the open ceillings, getting a leg up on the pipes or metal bars running down, along the walls.
Q(1b)The Geylang East Central Merchants' Association is planning to met up with the NEA and the town councils to look in to this matter as well as possibly improve the security ahd modifing the stalls layout.
Q(2)i think that security carmers should be put up to try to catch the thieves and other people who will try to earn easy money.i think the the burglars are trying to earn easy money most properly, they are short of money and are forced into doing this but there are also people who do this ypes of things as thought it was there own property.
